Elisabeth Brockmann is dedicated to work site- and context-specific for architectural and stage spaces. She refines her artistic vocabulary working on pictorial promises, icons and myths as well as ephemeral materials such as light, steam and water. She develops walk-in pictorial spaces and luminous fields of vision in which she integrates the gaze of the beholder by means of light. This corresponds to the choice of her pictorial motifs, in which she prefers the painted portrait and the photographic detail.

Bettina Pelz: “In her studio she experiments with material and form, space and light, scaling and perspective as in an alchemical laboratory. With the camera, she follows these analogue improvisations and generates her photographic source material, which she processes on the screen.” > > .
